To document special seasons

Even though I do spend most of my time shooting weddings, I still love going out during weekdays and taking portraits of seniors and families.
Portrait photos are always so special to me, because normally there's an occasion being celebrated - whether it's a senior getting ready to walk across the stage to accept their diploma, or a family getting ready to add a new little member (could be a child or a pet; you wouldn't believe how many puppy photos I've had the honor of taking!).

THE PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE

Just like when anyone inquires about a wedding, I want to get to know you as much as I can. What's your family's story? What are your plans for after you graduate? I want to know it all!
The better I know you right off the bat, the better I'll be able to help you plan for your session, and make sure our locations match your personality and your dreams for your photos.
If we're able to, I'd love to be able to meet in person to chat about what you're wanting your photos to look like and get to know each other even more before taking your photos.

The More We Know

Because I want you to love your photos and I know how much these photos in this season matter to both you and me, I want to help you plan for your shoot so it goes as smoothly as possible and fits everything you've been wanting.
Once it's official that I'll be the one taking your photos, I'll send you a style guide that will help you get an idea of what's great to wear, what's not-so-great to wear, where amazing locations are for photos, and what locations might not fit your vision. Whether we'll be taking family photos or senior photos, the information in the style guide will help you plan for your shoot.
Even though the guide is chock-full of information, if you have any questions at all, I want you to feel like you can ask me anything and everything.

All the Details

You've booked me for your shoot, you've read over the style guide, and now it's finally time for your photos! We have the opportunity to really get to know each other and spend some time with each other.
If it's a senior session, bring your parents! I'm sure they'd love to be able to be there to see the shoot in action, and it would be special for all of you to experience this part of your life together.
No matter what type of session we're shooting together, it's going to be so fun! I promise getting your photos taken isn't as scary or intimidating as it sounds.

Time for Photos

As soon as I get home from your shoot, I'll start going through all of your photos and pick a few of my all-time favorites. I'll post a sneak peek of your photos and a special blog post to get you and your family and friends excited to see the rest of the photos from your shoot.
2-4 weeks later, I'll deliver your photo gallery, and once you've seen all your photos (and LOVED them), we can start talking about designing your album, if you'd like to create one!
There's nothing like having printed photos from your session, and having them on hand all the time in a high-quality album makes them that much better.
