Ashley + Charlie | Tucker’s Gap Wedding

As soon as I walked into the bridal suite at Tucker’s Gap, I knew it was going to be a great day for a wedding. The bridesmaids were smiling ear to ear as they watched their best friend get ready. As the ladies were having their hair and make up done, I began photographing Ashley’s gorgeous details. This is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day. Ashley had some of the sweetest details from her grandmothers necklace that she wore to the handkerchief she carried that was her grandfather’s. It is such an honor to be able to photograph details like these to preserve them for years to come.

Though it was one of the hottest days of the summer thus far, Ashley and Charlie braved the heat like champs. Their first look was one of the sweetest to dates, and Ashley glowed just as brightly as the sun that was shining down on her. I love when my couples opt to do a first look! You are surrounded by loving friends and family on your wedding day, but couples that choose to do a first look get a few private minutes to themselves to soak in the beauty of each other and their special day during this time. Another great thing about first looks is that it gives you more time to get portraits with each other! And who doesn’t love getting more pictures on one of the most important days of your life??

Now. Can we talk for a minute about my brides this year and how AMAZING their receptions are? 2018 brides know how to have fun!

Ashley and Charlie were about to be introduced to their reception when all of a sudden the Stars Wars theme song starts playing overhead. We looked towards the doors expecting to see Ashley and Charlie walking in, but instead guests were surprised to see DARTH VADER. He walked through the crowd and waited next to the bridal party. Guests then looked back towards the doors to see Ashley and Charlie making their way into the reception while being escorted by STORM TROOPERS. What an epic entrance. Hands down my favorite to date!
