Samantha + Cody | The Barn at Fiddle Dee Farms Wedding

Last fall I photographed Samantha and Cody’s engagement session, so it was only fitting that I kick off my fall wedding season with these two!

Samantha and Cody said, “I do” October 9th, 2022, at The Barn at Fiddle Dee Farms in Greenbrier, Tennessee, but they officially began their journey to “happily ever after” on August 7, 2021:

“Every morning I go and get coffee from the coffee shop my brother works at. I was about to head out the door to go, but Cody kept telling me I needed to wait. If you know me, I was not a happy camper. He told me I could leave at 11 to go, which was very odd. Nevertheless, I did not argue, I needed my coffee. When I arrived, my coffee was already made and my brother had a clue waiting for me. Next, I went to Cody’s house and my childhood best friends were waiting for me to help me get ready. After that, I went to his old apartment complex where I was met by his mother at the spot we had our first kiss. I then made my way to the Mexican restaurant we had our first date at, where my best friend since I was one was waiting. Lastly, I went to the park where we play tennis. I was greeted by my sister and college best friend. They led me through the pathway where I saw a picnic set up and Cody with a big smile on his face. I obviously said YES. It was the most perfect day!!!“

Not only was their proposal day perfect, their wedding day was as well! What started as a relaxing and laid back afternoon of getting ready, transformed into a beautiful fall ceremony (complete with Samantha’s dad officiating and dropping a record setting amount of hilarious dad-jokes). Samantha really showed off her design skills when choosing the color palette and designing all of the decor for her big day. The true show-stoppers, though? Definitely a tie between the bride’s wedding Birkenstocks, the arch backdrop her dad made for their head table, the yummy fudge favors (the bride’s grandmother’s special recipe), and The Well coffee bar offering guests an espresso pick-me-up for dancing the night away.
